Account and Data Deletion

You can request account closure from inside the app. This page explains the current account closure behavior and the remaining data deletion limitations.

In-App Deletion

Open 2Chat and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Me › Settings › Account Cancellation and read the notice.
Tap the delete button, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Confirm Delete.

Your account then enters a 14-day deletion period. When the period ends, the account is closed: you are signed out on every device, the account can no longer be used to sign in, and your Google sign-in is detached from it. If you sign in during the 14-day period, contact us before it ends if you want to keep the account.

Web or Email Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app, send an email to 2chat@aswat1304.com with the subject "2Chat Account Deletion Request". Include enough information for us to identify and verify the account, such as your 2Chat user ID, the Google account email you sign in with, nickname, country or region, and a contact email. Do not send passwords or payment-card information.

Current Data Handling

Account closure disables sign-in and revokes active sessions. Linked sign-in identifiers are archived and detached from active login. It does not currently erase or anonymize your profile, messages, rooms, uploaded media, wallet or purchase records. It also does not delete your Tencent IM account. Please do not interpret account closure as complete personal data deletion.

Data Deletion Requests

A complete data deletion and retention policy is being prepared. Until the process is implemented and verified, we do not claim that account closure deletes associated personal data. Contact details and operator identity must be confirmed before this page can provide a verified external request channel. This limitation must be resolved before a Google Play release that requires account and data deletion.
